Comments: Very light wear to d-j. Bottom edge lightly soiled. Bottom of boards have small bumps. Spine slightly cocked.

Synopsis:
This takes place in the emergent Africa of the ’60’s, after the death of Hammerskjold and during the Stanleyville shoot-up and it moves easily enough behind the UN-CIA-Embassy facade when there was obviously more than one bird in the bush and some of them are Russian. Or perhaps only a double-agent like the planter Dysart, presumably backed by the Belgians. Michel Vernon attempts to record just what really happened to his old friend Ted Stearns, robbed and killed — perhaps for political reasons, perhaps because of his romantic embroilment with a young woman who is not what she seems. . . . One for after sundown — presentable, medium hot entertainment.
